    Hi Love: If you have the time take a look at this. and apply your BS Meter.
    I had a great conspiracy theory the other day.
    Why would the price of gasoline go down in Florida but up in Tennessee?
    Check out gasoline prices in all the red states bordering Florida.
    It almost worked, my hypothesis was that gasoline prices where stable in swing states and went up in red states.
    There where some pretty bad exceptions: it went up in Virginia and it actually dropped in Galveston Texas.
    This site gives Pre-Ike numbers.
    In a strange way I think there is a connection. I do not know much about ACORN other than a friend and neighbor of mine works for them. He is a very smart dude and lives simply.
    I know a bunch of mud has been thrown at them lately. But just about the only work thing I can remember him talking about was trying to warn folks about the dangers of predatory lending. It has been a few years since I talked with him about his work. But I do think he is a good and caring person, who chose to work for less and please his conscience.

        Hello again Love:
        My work day is done now.
        I do feel like I owe you an explanation.
        As usual the positive votes are from me.
        In my ignorance and pre-conceived notions I have thought well of ACORN.
        As I understood it: they are a non-profit, non-tax exempt organization, that states that they do not accept government funds.
        I do not know enough to actually try to defend them.

          And some of the positive votes to you were from me. I don't think I've ever given you a negative one. As far as ACORN goes, here's my take.
          
          I think they are an organization that is tied to benefiting disadvantaged people but they are also tied to helping the Democratic party. I think that part is probably more on an individual and regional level than an organizational level. I think that the good majority of people that work for ACORN have their hearts in the right place. I think a few bad apples give the rest of them a bad name.
          
          On the issue of ACORN and voter fraud, there is no doubt that they are guilty of fraud in many states and on many levels. 1800 fake voters in Washington state, fraudulent registrations in Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Texas, Florida, etc.
          
          The curious thing is that most of the fraud has taken place in states that you would probably consider more purple than red or blue. That's what kind of makes me go "huh" and leads to me to believe that they are trying to influence this election in favor of the Democrats. It's to a bad enough level that I think they should lose their exempt status.

          As I said, it's curious that most of these states are swing states. Obama's connection to them has yet to be explained sufficiently.

            Your link seems very convincing.
            The little bit I have poked around, leaves me with more gray areas.
            I was quite a bit distracted this evening, folks just kept showing up to make doo-dads for there home.
            It is finally quite here and of course being a lib, the radio is on PBS.
            They are talking about voter stuff.
            Believe it or not, I actually do stick a couple of grains of salt in my ear when I listen to PBS.
            At any rate they just did an interview with David Iglesias (one of the fired prosecutors). He said that one of the reasons he thought he was fired was because he did not prosecute ACORN. He said that he was under pressure to do so, but did not find enough evidence to take it to trial.
            He did say that ACORN pays piece work rates for applications to the people on the street.
            The more I read the more confused I get.
            I do not trust the sources on either side of the issue.
            At first I did not like "Motor Voter" registration because I kept getting called for jury duty. I think I read somewhere that ACORN pushed for it. I do have to show my drivers license when I vote.
            NO doubt folks should only be allowed to vote once. And all folks that are entitled to should be able to.
            Like I said before: I will keep my mind open, but there is something in the back of my head that is saying I am not hearing the whole truth.

  THE NEVADA STATE AUTHORTIES FAILED TO MENTION THE LARGE RED STAMP THAT SAID "SAMPLE" ACROSS THE DALLAS COWBOY REGISTERATIONS...THEY WERE TRAINING FORMS...NEVADA WILL BE MAKING OUT THEIR UTILTY BILLS TO ACORN AFTER THE COURTS GET THROUGH WITH THEM..

  Keep fighting the good fight Karlyc...I'm not in the tank for either of them but it's the imbalance of political news and minimization of corruption in the DNC that should be exposed -- not all dems, of course, which I lean.

  As the story comes from FoxNews.com, we can count on the information as rather suspect. The truth is, the Republicans have been trying to scream "voter fraud" in every state. This is nothing new. It's called being a sore loser, looking for anything you can to win. Sorry, the handwriting is on the wall. But if you like, toss out the few you find and see if it makes a difference. Toodles!
