Listen. I don't know which side you were on back then, and I won't ask.
I do know that anybody with a modicum of common sense KNEW that Iraq no longer had WMDs in 2003. The UN Inspectors had been allowed in and given unfettered access. Our CIA fed Scott Ritter all the "known locations" were WMDs existed. NONE panned out. Zero. Zilch1. Not so much as any documents about the production or warehousing of such weapons.
Bush did NOT go in because he feared the Iraqis, lacking a strategic weapons system or seaworthy navy, would invade the USA by crossing the Indian Ocean and Atlantic in a flotilla of rowboats. He went in to get a toehold for permanent bases in the Middle East in order to keep getting OUR oil which is so inconveniently buried in THEIR land.
All the Bush lies were told to justify Bush's continuation of 50 years of American empire building. And the looming 10 trillion dollar debt is the legacy of building this empire.

Bush got elected because one of the promises he made was to bring back intergrity to government and it's leaders. What a crock! His whole presidency was based on lies. And there is not an gram of intergrity within his administration.

"On the first hour of the first day he will restore decency and integrity to the Oval Office. He will show us that national leaders can be true to their word and that they can get things done by reaching across the partisan aisle, and working with political opponents in good faith and common purpose. I know he'll do these things, because for the last five years I've watched him do them in Texas."
Dick Cheney
What Cheney said was just conservative republican code. Translation: I will lie and Bush will swear to it.
